April In Paris is particularly beautiful because the parks and gardens are coming to life again, there’s a spring in everyone’s step, it’s time for leisurely walks with dogs, and although it can still be cool, people opt to sit outside cafes, enjoying a croissant while sipping an espresso, watching people walk by or, perhaps, reading the daily paper or a book.

Bisous in Paris is one of the most charming books I have ever read. It’s about a French bulldog who dreams of getting lost in Paris while exploring all the famous monuments and boulangeries. Meanwhile, his owner desperately looks for him and…I can’t give away any more. Having been lost in Paris myself and finding my way back home by stopping in boulangeries to ask for directions and enjoy a pastry or two, I can relate to this little dog. I’m so in love with this book and the adorable illustrations. If you love Paris, I promise you will love  Bisous’ story.
