The Advent season is celebrated throughout the world in preparation for Christmas and the birth of the Babe. Beginning on the first Sunday of December, families celebrate Advent, in churches and in their homes, by lighting a candle in the Advent wreath. Also popular are Advent calendars which have little doors that children can open every day before Christmas. Each door displays a festive picture or even a special candy. The last door, on December 24, is always a Nativity Scene. The Advent Santa takes the tradition one step further. He carries a paddle with 24 hooks and 24 miniature toys which can be placed on the paddle each day before Christmas. The Advent Santa is a Pipka Artist Choice figurine. The intricate details on his costume and toys is exceptionally beautiful and festive. He was introduced in 2002 and sold out immediately. Since then, we have misplaced 3 of the tiny ornaments for the paddle but have 21 ornaments in perfect condition. He comes in his own collector’s box.
