Door County Millefiori Rock
Millefiori is italian for “thousand flowers”. It is used in glass paperweights, tiny flowers filling every space under the glass. Highly prized, this art form is a favorite of collectors and museums. Our artist paints millefiori on his found Door County rocks. Here he has wrapped the rock in tiny flowers of all sizes, in true millefiori style. Deep red, gold, white, celadon and shimmering silver mimic the colors in a summer garden. Add the rock to a dish or basket of your favorite beach finds. Let the energy of the millifiori rock remind you of happy summer times. This handpainted rock is 2 1/2″ by 2 1/4′ in diameter and finished with a protective glaze.
