Santa’s Spotted Grey

On of the favorite Christmas gifts of children in the Victorian era was a rocking horse. In 1851, Queen Victoria chose a dapple grey rocking horse made by J. Collinson in Liverpool, England. Since then, the class dapple grey rocking hose has been the favorite of many children. Here Santa helps the elves by putting the final touches of paint on this special toy. The note tacked to the back of the chair is from a child that is asking Santa to bring a rocking horse to his little brother for Christmas. This is the best Christmas present, to wish good will toward others.

Santa’s Spotted Grey is from the Pipka Reflections of Christmas Collection. He is 6″ high, made of cold cast resin and hand painted. I do not have the original box for this piece but will pack it securely for the lucky buyer.
