St. Nicholas

$525.00

St. Nicholas was a bishop in Turkey during the 4th century. He is the patron saint of many countries around the world. Legend tells us that he gained sainthood because of  his generosity and charity toward the poor and less fortunate, especially children. His life inspired others to begin giving presents in his name on his feast day of December 6th. Because St. Nicholas was such a popular beloved saint, the Catholic Church gave him the important job of looking after children at Christmas time. Traditionally, a little angel accompanies St. Nicholas, carrying his big book of the names of all boys and girls around the world.
