The First Christmas
The First Christmas Nativity set is a winter scene of the Holy Family in a little hut, complete with animals, the Three Kings, the shepherds and all kinds of little pottery sets, brooms and items needed in a shed. Little angels sit by the Baby as a small rabbit looks on. All have come to adore Him, even the little Drummer Boy (rare). Pipka designed the First Christmas Nativity with love in her heart and inspiration from sets she has seen in European museums. She placed an ornate and beautiful cloak around Mary’s shoulders thinking Mary may have had a merchant uncle who gave her this as a wedding present. A cloak or cloth was very valuable in those times as it could be used for warmth or as a cover to put on the ground. The Baby is in a little cradle, brought by the innkeeper’s wife, so He would have a comfortable bed to lie in. Joseph carved a tiny donkey which hangs on the bed, the Baby’s first toy. The beautiful Nativity is a museum quality set, a wonderful gift for your family or church.
